Robert Harlan Moses has been repeatedly selected by his peers as one of the top matrimonial attorneys in New York, included in The Best Lawyers in America, named a New York Super Lawyer every year since its inception in New York, and received the highest possible rating from Martindale-Hubbell (AV Peer Review).
Rob is known for his pragmatic approach to the law, helping countless clients resolve their family disputes economically, thoughtfully, and fairly. His clients range from celebrities and high net worth individuals in financial, publishing, sports, and other fields to those of more modest means. No matter the background or financial means of the client, Rob brings his careful attention and years of experience to all of his cases, finding creative solutions where others have failed. He also has extensive litigation and trial experience, winning the respect and admiration of judges and adversaries alike.
Rob is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and currently sits on the Board of Managers. Rob is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is a past member of the Matrimonial Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association where he formerly served as Sub-Chairman of the Committee on the Civil Justice Crisis Plan helping to establish a Pro Se Clinic for contested matrimonial matters. Rob also is a member of the Family Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association and American Bar Association, as well as a member of the Committee on Public Service and Education for the New York State Bar Association and the International Academy of Family Lawyers. He helped create the New York State Bar Association Family Law pamphlet and web-site video for the Committee on Public Relations in cooperation with the Family Law Section and has lectured frequently on family law issues For the American, New York State, and New York City Bar Associations.
Rob was a contributing author for Strategies for Family Law in New York. (Aspatore-2012 and 2016) and the New York State Bar Association’s Divorce Process Video.
Rob received a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from New York University, graduating cum laude in 1985.  He received his law degree from St. John’s University Law School in June 1989, and was admitted to the New York State Bar in February 1990 and the New Jersey State Bar in December 1989. He also is admitted to the Southern and Eastern Federal District Courts in New York. Since then, he has engaged almost exclusively in the practice of matrimonial law.
Rob lives in Long Island with his wife, Ilene, and has a daughter studying at New York University, and a son in high school.
