Robert McLay focuses on business litigation and real estate litigation in Northern California. Robert primarily practices out of the Hayes Davis Sacramento Office. Robert has successful jury trial and bench trial experience in a variety of matters. He has prepared appellate briefs for cases venued in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the California Courts of Appeal, and the Nevada Supreme Court. He has also argued cases before the Third District Court of Appeal and the Nevada Supreme Court. Finally, he also has extensive experience in judicial and non-judicial arbitration.

Robert has litigated business disputes, professional negligence claims involving sales agents, real estate brokers and real estate agents. Robert is also a licensed real estate broker and provides legal advice to real estate professionals in real estate transaction issues. In his real estate litigation practice, Robert has handled several different types of real estate cases. He has litigated real estate disclosure issues, boundary disputes, easements, and ownership & title disagreements. In Robert's real estate transaction practice, he has assisted clients by drafting purchase and sale contracts and preparing easements & CC&R's. He also provided legal advice to real estate brokers and real estate agents in disclosure and land use issues.

Robert McLay is licensed to practice as an attorney in all of the State and Federal Courts of California and is licensed to practice in the State of Washington. He is also licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a Member of the Sacramento County Bar Association, and the Sacramento Association of Realtors.
