About Robert
Besides television, he has done many film projects in leading or supporting roles. Most recently he shot a Romantic Comedy called "Get Happy!" in a supporting role, "Robert Robbins." One of his most notable roles was a film called "Home/Sick" where he played the lead character suffering from agoraphobia. His portrayal of the character was so real, an actual sufferer of the disorder wrote him to express that to him. The film finished in the Top 10 out of 400 films for fan favorites in an on-line film competition. Other roles include films called "The Maltese Murder Mystery" where he played the supporting role of "Tony Figlia", “A Fine Layer of Darkness” which premiered at the HFC Film Festival, where he played the lead role of “Samuel Halford”, “E:8 Think Tank”, “Mind Morgue” and “Demon of Lataran” produced by Legion Films, and a short film called “Il Portiere (The Janitor)” which won the San Marcos Film Festival, where he played the lead role of “The Janitor.” He has also worked on big names films like “Music and Lyrics”, “Enchanted”, “American Gangster”, “Julie and Julia”, Oscar winning “Man on Wire“ and “Life Before Her Eyes”.
Robert also played the role of Howard Wagner in a recent production of "Death of a Salesman", as well as leading roles in the off Broadway plays "Tables", "Downsized" and "Assaulting a Vagina."
Robert has done on camera or voice overs for: the LA Dodgers, Dean Koontz’s book, “The Husband”, Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Aquafina Water, GlaxoSmithKline, Mountain Dew, the CIA, the US Marines, Reebok, TGIFridays, Zales Jewelers, Doritos, XpressBet.com, Saratoga Raceway, The National Fair Housing Alliance/State Farm, Mercedes-Benz Fuel Cell Vehicle, AT&T, Avis-Budget Group, Educational Testing Services and many others. He is currently the voice of the NBC iPhone “Your City” app, and several NBC News Local Affiliates stations including LA, Chicago, DC and Miami promoting the Iphone app. He is the current voice of Tesoro Fuel and past voice of Knology Cable. He has also appeared on camera in numerous commercials and industrial videos.
Robert has also helped many, many students, both beginning and experienced, get started in the voice over industry, and advance in the business, through teaching and production of their demos. He had the honor of writing a chapter in the fourth edition of the book "The Art of Voice Acting", written by James Alburger, which is considered by many to be the bible of the voice over industry. He is also the author of the book "Voice Over Legal".
As far as Robert's personal background, he was born in Stamford, Connecticut and one of three brothers, Robert graduated from Stamford Catholic High School in 1984. After attending Eckerd College in St. Petersberg, Florida on a baseball scholarship, an injury forced him to transfer to the University of Connecticut, where he graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Political Science. Robert then graduated from Pace University School of Law in 1991. He passed the Connecticut, New York and Pennsylvania bar exams on his first attempt and was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1991. He is currently a practicing attorney, as well as an actor and accomplished voice over artist. Robert hosted a local radio program back in the mid 1990's called "The Law Show", and more recently, hosted a radio show called "Ask the Lawyer." He also recently launched a new business venture with Ian Ziering of Beverly Hills 90210 and Sharknado as a distributor of the Nu Skin line of products.

Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I had a case that came in almost one year past the deadline for filing a worker's compensation claim. However, I was able to establish one of the exceptions to filing within the one year, which was payment of medical bills by the employer within a year of the accident, so I was able to win the case for my client. 3 previous lawyers had turned the case down before the client came.
How did you build a successful practice?
I rely, not only on client's giving me referrals, but also I rely on certain businesses giving me referrals over and over again because they know they can trust me to do a great job. Also, other lawyers send me cases and clients as well in areas where I have skill and expertise above their own.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
The number one thing clients should look for in a lawyer is that they should feel like they can tell the lawyer anything, no matter how sensitive, and that the lawyer will not only remain professional with the client, but that they can trust the lawyer to do everything that he or she can to further the client's lawful objectives. If there is no "chemistry" then the client should look for another lawyer.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Extremely important. Knowledge of the players in a particular venue can mean the difference between success and failure.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I can tell if the client has a valid cause of action, and may be able to even provide some basic legal advice. Most importantly I can tell the client if they need to hire a lawyer, and if I can help them achieve success in their case. What information do you need for an in person consultation? I need the client to come in prepared to tell me what happened, how they were injured, and copies of some medical records, the police report, if one exists, and any insurance information the client may have.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I have been practicing law for 23 years. I practiced for a major insurance company and know a great deal about how insurance companies operate. I have also been a Certified Worker's Compensation Specialist for almost a decade. I was nominated by my peers to receive the title of Super Lawyer since 2009, and also nominated by my peers to be named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer in the State of Connecticut by the National Trial Lawyers Association. Finally, I was selected by my clients to be issued the Client Satisfaction Award as awarded by the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I know it sounds cliche, but I love helping clients in any way I can.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I am a professional Actor and Voice Over Artist and a member of SAG-AFTRA. I am also an author and wrote the only legal book on the market concerning legal issues surrounding Voice Overs, called, oddly enough ""Voice Over Legal"". I love to coach youth sports, and have been coaching for 35 years. I also love to play golf when I have a chance.
Are you involved in your community?
I am very active in my community. I am a member of several Charity Boards, I sponsor sports teams, and have been coaching Youth Sports for 35 years.
