QUESTIONNAIRE
My client was charged with a serious criminal sexual conduct offense, where the alleged victim was a 7 year-old step child. The child provided interviews and statements alleging that my client had touched her in a sexual manner, and that it significantly affected her life. The case went to felony jury trial, and only on cross examination did the 7 year-old "victim" admit that it was a lie and that her mother made her stick with the story. My client was acquitted, and went from facing a lengthy prison sentence for a false charge, to living a full and happy life.
How did you build a successful practice?Be honest with everyone, and hard working. A prepared attorney is a good attorney.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?Experience, confidence and honesty.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?Not as important as knowing every aspect of the facts in your case.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?All the information that a potential client needs to make an informed decision on whether to hire an attorney.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?Just the basic facts of a case and the specific charges a person faces. The location of the charge is also nice to know, as prosecutors handle matters differently depending on where the charge originates in the state.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?I have had a large number of jury trials, and I have a unique ability to connect with jurors.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?Helping those who feel they have no one in their corner to fight for them.
What are your other interests in addition to law?Various sports, camping, and outdoor activities.
Are you involved in your community?We extensively support our local communities through donations and volunteering.
