About Roger
I'm an experienced, results-driven attorney with 35+ years’ experience in private practice, litigation and numerous other facets of law, including of course my specialty, franchising. My previous experience as a YUM Brands franchisee, a successful business owner and a private legal practitioner gives me unique insight into what makes a successful franchise system as well as what doesn't. I have the ability to grasp the concepts quickly, think out of the box being solution conscious and implementing strategic planning. Over the past 11 years I have lead Curves to openings in over 86 countries which has included compliance with all applicable country laws including franchise statutes, social media laws, privacy laws, trademark laws, etc.
My focus is being a part of the team that creates, operates and maintains a successful franchise both from the business and legal perspective. Handling all legal issues that impact a franchise system is of course my forte including the herding of and managing of outside counsel. Experience, creativity and persistence are at the core of my success and have helped me become a thoughtful experienced advisor and a skillful negotiator who can "close " the deal. One is never too old to learn and one should always be guided by the "think big" and "can do" mantras. My daily goal is to achieve results that best serve our clients.
