About Sam

Sam McGee graduated from Yale Law School in 1998, and began his legal career by clerking for the Honorable Morris S. Arnold in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Little Rock, Arkansas. Sam then returned to his home state of North Carolina, and has been representing injured individuals and their families ever since. Sam's practice has included many complex litigation matters in the areas of nursing home abuse and neglect, professional negligence, and class actions. Many of these matters have resulted in substantial recoveries, including multiple recoveries in excess of $1,000,000.

In the area of nursing home litigation, about which he has lectured to the Southern Trial Lawyers Association and the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, Sam defeated a mandatory arbitration clause in nursing home admissions contracts that was designed to force nursing home patients and their families to arbitrate their claims before a trade association for the health care industry.
