About Sandy

Mr. Baron's practice areas include commercial litigation, employment and contract disputes, personal injury, credit reporting, student disciplinary proceedings (including suspension and expulsion proceedings) and criminal law. He litigates a wide variety of cases before the federal and state trial courts in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He received a multi-million dollar verdict in a case brought against a county for discharging employees who participated in a strike. In Tinsley v. TRW Inc., 879 F. Supp. 550 (D.C. Md. 1995), he secured a dismissal of a claim alleging erroneous credit reporting.

Before joining Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A., Mr. Baron served as a law clerk to the Honorable Howard S. Chasanow and practiced for over 15 years with the law firm of Goldstein and Baron, Chartered. He taught business law at the University of Maryland and a "Professionalism Course" to new members of the Maryland State Bar for the Maryland State Bar Association. Mr. Baron has served by appointment as a regular member of the Inquiry Committee of the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland since 1993 and also, by appointment, now serves as a member of the Peer Review Committee of the Commission. He is President of the Marlborough Inn of Court.
