About Scott

Scott A. Selis is an Elder Care, Elder Law, and Estate Planning attorney. He is the founder of Selis Elder Law of Florida.

Scott’s practice focuses on making long-term care affordable for people that don’t have long-term care insurance by restructuring assets to qualify for Government Benefits. Scott also handles Probate, Trust Administration and Guardianship.

Scott received his undergraduate degree from Florida State University and his J.D. from Stetson University’s College of Law. Scott has been married to Kimberly since 1984, and they have had 3 children and 2 grandchildren.

We know how complicated Florida elder law can be. You need a trusted advocate on your side who can make sure your rights, wishes and goals are honored. Our team is here to make sure you get the Florida legal representation you deserve whether you are planning for the future or you are in a crisis.

Scott chooses to bring his expertise and experience to Florida elder care law, serving clients throughout Florida, but mostly in Volusia and Flagler Counties. His goal is to help families at all stages of their life. To this end, he helps Florida seniors with long-term care questions such as how to find and pay for good care in a Florida skilled nursing facility. His focus is on helping the elderly remain at home for as long as possible and plan to protect their life’s savings from long-term care costs.
