He also has significant experience forming, counseling, and winding up businesses. Mr. Christensen frequently advises businesses, partners, employers, managers, investors, and other professionals on all types of real estate and business matters. He also assists property owners and developers with land use matters. He understands the importance of preparing understandable and enforceable documents that benefit and protect his clients.

Real Estate and Business Litigation
Mr. Christensen has significant litigation and pre-litigation experience concerning real estate disputes and business matters. His real estate litigation experience includes claims involving failure to disclose, agency and brokerage, lenders, mechanic's liens, boundary lines and encroachments, easements, landlord tenant matters, title issues, construction disputes, and many other real estate matters. His business litigation experience includes, among other matters, breach of contract claims, collection matters, government claims, and insurance claims and disputes. He has a history of aggressive but sensible representation with successful results.

General Civil Litigation
Mr. Christensen's general civil litigation experience encompasses a wide variety of legal matters. For instance, he has handled personal injury actions, administrative complaints, restraining orders, and professional malpractice claims. He has made innumerable court appearance and has participated in various types of alternative dispute resolution. He has extensive experience drafting all types of court documents in a manner that results in favorable outcomes to his clients. He can handle litigation efficiently and effectively from the beginning of a dispute to its final resolution.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mr. Christensen has practiced law in Northern California for over 13 years. Mr. Christensen has been working for R. Monti Reynolds since 2005. In 2003 and 2004, Mr. Christensen worked at Gurnee, Wolden, & Daniels, LLP in Roseville, California, where he represented corporations, employers, professionals, and property owners. From 1997 to 2003 and again from 2004 to 2005, Mr. Christensen worked at the Law Offices of Nicholas Damer in San Mateo County, where his practice focused on real estate, professional negligence, and general civil litigation throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to 1997, Mr. Christensen worked for Paul “Pete” McCloskey, Esq. and Wilson & Wilson in San Mateo County. He also served as an intern at the Santa Cruz County Superior Court.

EDUCATION and ASSOCIATIONS

Scott D. Christensen received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1995. He graduated cum laude from the University of California, San Diego in 1991. Mr. Christensen is a member and Director of the Placer County Bar Association. He has been a licensed California real estate broker since 2000.

PERSONAL

Mr. Christensen was born and raised in Northern California. He resides with his wife Renee, and two children in Auburn. When he is not at work, he enjoys fly fishing, biking, and outdoor family activities.
