“My first paid job, other than babysitting, was corn detasseling for a farmer who lived a half-mile from my home. I was 13-years-old, and most of the kids quit within the first two weeks. I made it all summer, and earned $300–which was a ton of money for me. We went on a family vacation, and I was able to buy my own things that I wanted. Early on, I learned the value of hard work and have carried that mindset with me in my personal and professional life. My family and I live on a hobby farm and raise thoroughbred horses that we race at Canterbury Park. We are active in 4H activities and have a rabbit, a dog, barn cats and horses. In addition, I have entered and completed 7 full marathons–Grandma’s Marathon three times, Lake Wobegon Marathon once, Twin Cities Marathon twice, and the Whistle Stop Marathon once. I have also entered and completed numerous half marathons.” Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. After a career in sales and marketing, she attended Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and obtained her Juris Doctorate and a Certificate in Advocacy and Problem-Solving at Hamline’s top-ranked Dispute Resolution Institute.
