Kristen Curry has been certified as a Criminal Law Specialist through the State Bar of Arizona for the past 25 years and has extensive jury trial and litigation experience. Kristen handles criminal cases, including both felony and misdemeanor matters, DUI cases, criminal appeals and post-conviction relief. Since 1998, Kristen has been teaching other attorneys statewide how to effectively challenge illegal searches in criminal cases. Her written materials on the subject have also been provided to Superior Court judges during judicial training. Kristen, along with the firm, has been given the highest rating by her legal peers, AV, in the Martindale-Hubbell national legal directory. I went to law school just to be a criminal lawyer. I served as a prosecutor for almost 30 years, but defense law was always my true passion. I'm a native Utahn, attended college at the University of Utah, and went to law school at the University of Idaho. Before that, I worked as a radio announcer in Salt Lake City. Prior to that, I served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps. I worked as a prosecutor in West Valley City, Provo, Lehi, and Salt Lake County. I have extensive experience as a courtroom lawyer and litigator, having handled thousands of court hearings and trials, earning the trust and respect of the Utah Defense Bar. Ask J. After working in the financial services industry for a year, Bell decided to go to law school after realizing he wanted a direct hand in helping people. Bell has focused on representing criminal defendants ever since his student days at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 2011. During law school, he clerked at the Richland County Public Defender’s office in Columbia and continued to work there as an attorney after earning his law license. He remained at the public defender’s office for six years, handling the full spectrum of criminal defense cases, ranging from the most serious felonies to misdemeanors. He tried numerous jury trials in both general sessions court and magistrates’ court, and was one of the lead defense attorneys in the first human-trafficking case ever brought before the South Carolina Grand Jury. In 2015, Bell received intensive additional training in the art of jury persuasion at the National Criminal Defense College Trial Practice Institute.
