Attorney Stephen F. Forbes has been practicing law in Hampton Roads since 1982. As the owner and primary litigator of Forbes Law Firm, he represents seriously injured clients in personal injury suits and workers’ compensation claims, and he has extensive criminal law trial experience as well.

In obtaining a1.6 million dollar recovery for an injured motor cycle driver, I was able to establish that the responsible driver had excess coverage through a company with whom he was employed and fend off allegations that a failed headlight on the bike was the cause of the accident by using experts and scientific testing. How did you build a successful practice? A successful practice is built by only taking cases you are qualified to handle then by following through with the hard work and commitment needed to achieve the best result given the situation . What should clients look for in a lawyer? Knowledge experience and competence. beware of empty promises. How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases? Very important. being local to the legal problem gives the lawyer a better context to understand the problem and recognize the solution, allows the attorney a better opportunity to actually visit local important locations without increased traveling costs to the client and makes direct client attorney contact which is also quite important, easier and more affordable. Jill A. Kolodner received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 1987, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1990. She is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, the U.S. District Court of Maryland, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 4th Circuit. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Association of Justice and has been a speaker at a bankruptcy bar seminar. Ms. Kolodner is an Elected Director on the Sinai Hospital Board. With more than 30 years of law experience at WGK Personal Injury Lawyers, she brings a wealth of knowledge representing clients in matters of workers’ compensation, personal injury, and personal bankruptcy. Shane was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where he was educated at St. Aloysius High School. He later attended Millsaps College, before earning his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Shane began his law career as an associate attorney at Wilkins, Stephens & Tipton in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2003, Shane moved to Columbus, Mississippi, and began working at the Studdard Law Firm. Shane formed the Tompkins Law Firm in 2012 and today, primarily practices in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury and criminal defense. Professionally, Shane is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Mississippi Public Defender's Association. In addition, he has been the Lowndes County Bar Association President and is currently the Board Attorney for Golden Triangle Waste Services. Shane also serves as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Shane is married to Julie Pryse Tompkins. Shane and Julie have two sons, John and Jack. They reside in Columbus, Mississippi.

Charlie focuses his legal practice in the areas of workers’ compensation, personal injury, social security disability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, general civil litigation, and employment law. Charlie served as Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Crystal City from 2004-2007. Charlie has been a guest speaker and lecturer for various civil organizations and educational programs, serving as an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis Community College and guest lecturer at Jefferson College and currently serves as Adjunct Professor at Jefferson College.

Sara M. Salger received her undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, graduating cum laude, and Saint Louis University School of Law for her J.D. where she received an International Law Certificate and litigation focus. She spent two semesters abroad during law school attending Università Cà Foscari di Venezia in Venice, Italy and University College Cork in Cork, Ireland. Ms. Salger's legal career has been focused on advocating for individuals wronged by the actions of others, with a particularized focus on representing victims of mesothelioma and lung cancer, as a result of exposure to asbestos. She has also handled complex benzene litigation and general personal injury claims. Working at The Gori Law Firm since the firm's inception, and a Partner since May 2016, she is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Missouri, is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Madison County Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Missouri State Bar Association, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, American Association for Justice, National Asbestos Mesothelioma Trial Lawyers (Member), National Women Trial Lawyers, and is on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Executive Committee and Board. Actively involved in her community, Ms. Salger serves on various philanthropic boards in the area and volunteers her time speaking to local high school and college law classes and groups.
