Mr. Lawler has over thirty (30) years of experience in representing business clients in formation, organization, corporate governance, corporate finance, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, contracts and transactions. Mr. Lawler’s expertise in corporate law has helped him build a successful practice with clients throughout the United States and as well as clients in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Canada, United Kingdom, Greece, Brussels, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Israel, Bermuda, Belize, Nicaragua and Panama. Mr. Lawler’s Corporate/Business Law practice includes the following types of legal work: Evaluating and reviewing domestic and international investment opportunities that are consistent with the client’s stated business objectives and needs; Mergers & Acquisitions, including corporate structuring, restructuring and reorganization; Preparing and negotiating numerous types of contracts including commercial contracts, joint ventures, partnership agreements, purchase and sale agreements, employment contracts and service agreements. Advising Boards of Directors and Board Committees on various corporate governance issues including vetting and selection of executive officers, assessing shareholder rights and responding to business combination proposals; and Organizational matters, including formation, operating agreements, bylaws and shareholder agreements. Estate Planning Mr. Lawler discovered that many business clients also need legal assistance in preparing their estates to provide a plan that will protect their assets, their family and their legacy. Mr. Lawler, in response to such needs, has developed an estate planning practice for both families and business owners. Mr. Lawler’s Estate Planning practice includes the design and preparation of the following: Revocable Living Trusts; Irrevocable Trusts; Living Wills; Durable Powers of Attorney; Health Care Power of Attorney; and Trust Administration; Mr. Lawler is a member of a number of professional associations, including the American Bar Association, and is licensed to practice law in the States of Arizona and California. Born in California, Mr. Lawler received his B.S. Business Management, from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, in 1984, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from the USC Gould School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 1988.

Adair Buckner was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She attended both undergraduate and law school at Texas Tech, and her blood runs red and black. Her husband’s grandmother was the very first graduate of Texas Tech. Her children were the 56th & 57th members of her husband’s family to attend Tech. Adair majored in business management as an undergraduate, finishing with honors. She immediately began law school and graduated with highest honors. While in law school, Adair was the Comments Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif (the top 10% of the class). When she finished law school in 1976, Adair moved back to Amarillo to begin her law practice. She has been in law firms, large and small, during her practice and is now a sole practitioner. Adair has been actively involved in the Amarillo Area Bar Association and Amarillo Area Bar Foundation, having served on the boards and as president of both groups. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas Real Estate, and Estate Planning, and Probate, and the Labor and Employment Law sections. She has been board certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1996. She practices management-side only in employment law.

Paul Winter specializes in estate planning, estate and trust administration, elder law, real estate, and business planning for individuals, and closely held businesses. He has worked on thousands of estate plans and hundreds of commercial, multi-family and residential real estate transactions. He also does Medicaid planning. Before co-founding the firm, he worked for large law firms in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Louisiana, and is a former adjunct professor for the Masters of Taxation program at Walsh College in the Detroit area. Paul enjoys playing golf, tennis, power boating, and rowing. In 2015 he founded the Spring Lake Crew Club and serves as the Director of Rowing for Spring Lake and Grand Haven High School and Middle School teams. His son rowed at GVSU his freshman year in the Men’s Novice 8, which went to the finals of the American College Championships in 2019. His daughter also rowed and played varsity tennis for Spring Lake High School.

Megone Trewick is an associate attorney with Bryan Fagan, PLLC, and focuses her practice on Estate Planning and Probate Law issues, and Family Law matters.
