Matthew is a proud native-born Tennessean and the third generation to live on my family’s farm. His roots trace back to his ancestor and the first governor of the state of Tennessee, John Sevier. While at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Matthew concentrated his studies on advocacy and dispute resolution. Prior to law school, he worked as an agent with Farm Bureau Insurance of Tennessee. Matthew understands the importance of communication, honesty, hard work, determination, and treating people the way you would want to be treated. He is honored to serve the legal needs of individuals and companies with interests in and throughout Tennessee.

Nicholas T. Kocian is the president and founder of the Kocian Law Group. Nick has practiced law for over thirty years focusing on personal injury matters, including but not limited to medical malpractice, motor vehicle, products liability, construction, premises liability and workers’ compensation claims. Joseph Perea, is a graduate of Florida International University and attended law school at Nova Southeastern University. He has been a member of the Florida bar since 2007. Joseph attended Miami-Dade public schools and grew up in Miami. Before college, Joseph served active duty in the infantry in the United States Marines for four years, receiving an honorable discharge. It was his experience in the Marines that taught him discipline and dedication. At FIU, he studied Journalism and Mass Communication for which he received a bachelor’s degree. Later, he worked in writing centers and taught English at Miami-Dade College and Barry University. A short time later he attended law school in Fort Lauderdale. He has turned his life experiences into a sense of commitment and dedication to passionately representing injury victims and their families. Joseph has litigated worker’s compensation as well as employment and wrongful termination litigation cases for the last 16 years. One of Joe’s specialties is representing work injury victims in circuit court, when they are wrongfully terminated or discriminated against by their employers for having filed a worker’s compensation claim. Moreover, Joseph has experience practicing commercial litigation, has practiced in Federal Court representing plaintiffs seeking to recover their overtime and minimum wage wages under the FLSA, and has represented personal injury plaintiffs. Joseph is proud that he has never represented an insurance company and is strictly dedicated to representing regular people who need help. Joe is fluent in Spanish and English and is proud of his Colombian heritage. He works hard to obtain justice for injury victims in both the Hispanic and non-Hispanic communities. He particularly enjoys working on denied cases whereby an injured worker is denied coverage while working on construction sites throughout Florida. As a founding partner of Godbey Giardina Law Group, Michael is an advocate for insurance policyholders in disputes with their insurance company. Michael was born and raised in New Orleans, is an Eagle Scout and avid outdoorsman. During Hurricane Katrina, Michael assisted with search and rescue operations. Hurricane Katrina was also Michael’s first experience with an insurance company who produced fraudulent documents, underpaid, and delayed his family’s claim. Although not an attorney at the time, Michael experienced how beneficial an attorney was in recovering under the claim.

Kevin is a patent attorney who also provides services for trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and other IP matters. He counsels clients on the best ways to use IP assets to advance their business and protect against infringers. Kevin works in a broad range of technology areas, including mechanical devices, automotive tech, building/construction methods, electro-mechanical, computer/software arts, internet technologies, and innovations in manufacturing and business processes. He started his career as an Operations Engineer at a large St. Louis fruit and produce distributor, before entering law school at St. Louis University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Kevin is active in the St. Louis entrepreneur and startup community. His desire to work with entrepreneurs was spurred by his father, a former packaging engineer with patents himself, who now counsels businesses and startups in packaging technology, design and innovation. Coincidentally, Kevin’s wife is a marketing innovator at a Fortune 500 company, who grew up in a family of entrepreneurs as well. His two biggest passions outside of his IP work are time with his wife and daughter... and, of course, golf!

Aaron was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force just weeks after 9/11, serving as both a flight medic and a police officer. While deployed several times, he earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Phoenix. Following his military service, Aaron worked as a federal officer for the Department of Homeland Security. He led and managed multiple large teams responding to disasters and civil unrest across the United States. During this time, he witnessed the destruction caused by natural disasters firsthand. Aaron later earned a Master of Arts in Homeland Security from Regis University.
