Leslie Cimadevilla, Esquire is the Principal and Managing Attorney of The Law Office of Leslie Cimadevilla, P.A. and Worldwide Title, Escrow and Closing Services, LLC. A South Florida bilingual native, her principal office is conveniently located in Davie, the heart of South Florida as well as physical offices throughout the Treasure Coast. Ms. Cimadevilla proudly also provides safe closing services from Monroe County through the Panhandle. She graduated from St. Thomas University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a specialization in Latin American Affairs, as well as a Minor in Communication Arts in 1996. After spending some time at the United States Department of State as Consular Officer for Child Services, she moved from Washington D.C. back to her native State of Florida where she received her Juris Doctorate from Barry University School of Law where she excelled and received extensive recognition, including The Florida Association of Trial Lawyers Student Award and the Tonya Young Scholarship for Best Writing and Oralist skills. Ms. Cimadevilla also interned for the Honorable Jose Rodriguez 17th Circuit and was responsible for developing the Truancy Pilot, was President of the Hispanic Association of Law Students, and actively participated in achieving national recognition for the law school while clerking for the prestigious worker's compensation firm of Moreland and Moreland, P.A in Orlando, Florida. When Ms. Cimadevilla returned to her native South Florida after graduation, she was a founding member of the premiere Coral Gables Title, LLC until the real estate market crash. Therefore, Ms. Cimadevilla entered the world of foreclosure and has zealously represented investors, servicers, national mortgage lenders, financial institutions and private lenders throughout Florida handling residential and commercial foreclosures since 2007. She has litigated and mediated thousands of foreclosure cases, said experience now assists her in aggressively defending foreclosed homeowners and business owners in court in addition to exploring all loss mitigation alternatives. Additionally, she handles all aspects of residential and commercial real estate, including closings, title examinations, escrow services, transactional negotiations, foreclosure and loss mitigation, including short sale negotiations, loan workouts and deeds-in-lieu, contract disputes, preparation of agreements including loan documents and leases. She also handles foreign investors, works with 1031 agents and handles simultaneous transactions and complex structures Ms. Cimadevilla is a licensed member of the Florida Bar and was admitted to practice in 2003. She underwrites title through WFG and is a member of Broward’s Real Estate Council, Broward County Bar Association, and Plantation Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Cimadevilla also devotes much of her time to several charitable organizations including Broward County Partnership Coalition for the Homeless, Broward County's Women in Distress and Florida's Initiative for Suicide Prevention. Mother of a beautiful little girl, she tirelessly attempts to stress the importance of a healthy balance of work and motherhood.

Patrice Scott grew up in Central Florida. Attorney Scott decided to pursue and earn a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Legal Studies with a Minor in Criminal Justice. A few years later, Patrice earned a Juris Doctorate from Florida A&M University of Law. Patrice has several years’ experience working in litigation for Florida based law firms, in areas such as housing and real estate law, foreclosure law representing banks in pursuit of foreclosing on single-family homes, and affordable housing. Additionally, Attorney Scott has worked under one of the largest private sector developers and continues to work with local start-ups and established companies. Attorney Scott gained extensive knowledge in landlord-tenant law, particularly government subsidized properties, during her time as a Legal Fellow under the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Program sponsored under the Housing and Urban Development, “HUD” in the Affordable Housing Division. While working as a Legal Fellow, Attorney Scott trained in landlord-tenant law, including the Rental Assistance Demonstration Program, government subsidized programs such as LIHTC, Project Based Section 8, and the processes of funding both for landlords and developers. Attorney Scott continues to represent Developers, Homeowners and Landlords in tackling many Code Enforcement, Landlord-Tenant and Real Estate issues.

Karl joined the Firm in 2004. He has published articles and has given numerous ICLE lectures in his short tenure. His areas of expertise include Creditor/Debtor's Rights, Bankruptcy, Guardianships, Foreclosure Law, Civil Litigation, Real Estate/Real Property and out of court workouts. He has extensive experience handling all aspects of debtor/creditor's rights, both in the New Jersey State and Federal Courts. In addition to prosecuting foreclosure cases for both private as well institutional lenders, he has also handled many contested foreclosures for Debtors, which often results in loan modifications and/or forbearance agreements and Deeds in Lieu of foreclosure. Mr. Norgaard effectively and efficiently resolves disputes between the parties with a common sense approach of analyzing the client's legal exposure and rights while always seeking to find an amicable resolution as soon as possible in an effort to curtail needless litigation.
