Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I represented the Estate of a an unmarried very elderly man who was killed by a snow plow in the middle of a blizzard in his condo parking lot after he was instructed to stay indoors until after the storm subsided. Defendant claimed his vehicle had a back up alarm, visibility was extremely poor and he never saw the decedent. I had the plow examined by an accident reconstruction expert who could say that the back up alarm was not functioning. we deposed the building superintendent who testified he did not hear the back up alarm. I was able to resolve the case for a significant amount without having to expose my elderly fragile very nervous client to a deposition.

How did you build a successful practice?

Beyond the initial claim stage, I prepare each case as if it is going to trial. Preparation is key so as to avoid unpleasant surprises. I communicate case developments with them so they are informed and there are no surprises. I keep abreast of the developments in the personal injury field through continuing education.

In this regard I have 40 years of successful experience representing all types of clients in personal injury matters. I have also been rated AV-Preeminent (The highest possible rating) by Martindale-Hubble peer review for the past 11 years. I have also been named to Super Lawyers annually since 2013. I am also named by Bests as recommended counsel.

Knowledge of local conditions is extremely important. For that reason we often meet at the accident site with the client where possible to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the cause of the injuries.
