About Seth
Seth Levy received his license to practice law in 1984 from West Virginia, in 1985 from New Jersey, and in 1989 from New York. During this time and for the next 12 years, he consulted on legal matters concerning the environment, energy, and public utility industries in the New York Metropolitan area.
In 1998, Seth settled in Mount Pleasant with his wife, Heidi, and their two children. Over the next 17 years, Heidi and Seth owned and managed two service-oriented companies, Maxcare Floor Care and Solar Energy Solutions of the Lowcountry. When Heidi passed away in late 2015, Seth sold the businesses and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in May of 2017.
Due to his experiences, Seth is focusing his practice on assisting individuals and families with wills and trusts, estate planning, probate administration, Social Security eligibility, Medicaid/long term health care planning, guardianships, conservatorships, and asset preservation strategies.
As a single father, Seth devotes most of his energy outside the office to provide as much as he can to his two fantastic children, all acts done in loving memory of his wife. In his spare time, Seth likes to get out with friends on the Foothills Trail or the Appalachian Trail for hiking and camping weekends. He also attends religious services, plays basketball, does yoga, and volunteers at Charleston Waterkeeper events.

How did you build a successful practice?
My practice is built by focusing on my continual goal of providing excellent customer service. I listen carefully to my clients wants and desires, giving their perspective the respect it deserves, and being honest with them about some of their expectations. And, as a solo practitioner, my fees are very competitive.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
In my field of practice, local knowledge is extremely important when it comes to setting forth someone's Will and Power of Attorney. There are State nuances with respect to law and execution that are necessary to achieve a favorable result.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
A telephone conversation can be an effective way of clearing up any misconceptions that the client might have regarding the process, the results, and the potential cost for my services. I look at providing this information as a valuable public service.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I can't speak to the listening skills or capabilities of other lawyers within the Charleston area. However, I am confident that I provide a high level of value to my clients for the services I provide.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
In addition to the law, I involve myself with numerous philanthropic organizations by volunteering to help out at local events in my spare time. I've got a lot of energy.
