Questions & Answers

How did you build a successful practice?

Referrals from other local attorneys. They realize my expertise in an area that was formerly void of knowledgeable attorneys. Keeping clients satisfied by being responsive.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for an attorney that they feel comfortable working with and who listens to their concerns. Clients should expect the attorney to be responsive and knowledgeable regarding their legal matter.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Knowledge of the local court rules, judges and judicial system is extremely important. A local attorney may have a better ability to predict the outcome of a case due to the fact the attorney knows the judge or recent rulings of the court.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

In most cases, I am able to explain the options available to the client and the cost for each option.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I am an adjunct professor at Marquette University Law School. My firm is a boutique firm in regards to the breadth of services we offer. We focus on only a few areas of law so that we are up to date on the most recent developments and can serve our clients efficiently and knowledgeably. Our firm, unlike most others, provides clients the opportunity to have direct contact with the attorney instead of a legal assistant.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Helping people. People have a huge sense of relief and joy after financial stress is taken away.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Running with my Great Dane and Doberman. Gardening. Reading.

Are you involved in your community?

Yes, I am the Vice President of the Board of Directors for "A Day In Time" memory care program for seniors. I am a member of Elkhorn Kiwanis as well.
