About Sharla

Sharla Manglitz practices primarily in the area of maritime law and assists with transactional and litigation matters for pleasure boats, yachts and commercial vessels. She has a strong background in the maritime industry having worked on the Great Lakes for a family maritime based company, Lake Michigan Carferry Service. Sharla was a third generation member involved in the management and direction of the company, involved with both onboard and shore-side management issues. She is currently an active member of Lake Michigan Carferry Service and its subsidiary, Pere Marquette Shipping's management as well as an in-house legal liaison for both organizations, assisting them at both the state and national levels with mainly legislative and agency regulatory issues.

 

Sharla is also a member of the Insurance Coverage and Litigation Group. She participates in the defense of aviation, products liability, medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death claims.
