About Shawna
Ms. Pinkerton graduated from Marshall University College of Liberal Arts with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Biology in 1992. She then graduated cum laude from Marshall University with a BS in nursing in 1993. Ms. Pinkerton worked for almost 10 years as a nurse at Charleston Area Medical Center in orthopedics and vascular surgery.
Ms. Pinkerton attended law school at Capitol University in Columbus, Ohio, in 1997. Since graduation, Ms. Pinkerton has been admitted to the West Virginia State Bar and is licensed to practice in the United States District Courts for both the Northern and Southern District of West Virginia.
Ms. Pinkerton has extensive civil litigation experience including successful trials in many courts of this State. She has used her nursing skills to represent her clients in cases involving mass toxic torts, nursing home disputes, and personal injury.
