About Sher
Mr. Akhtar is a graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law. He also has degrees in Chemical Engineering (State University of New York at Buffalo) and MBA (Western Michigan University). Prior to starting his law practice in 1987, he had worked with the General Motors Corporation in various departments as Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer and Engineering Group Manager. Mr. Akhtar is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages. He is authorized to practice by the Supreme Court of Michigan. Mr. Akhtar represents individual and corporate clients in immigration matters in all 50 states. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Michigan.
