About Smirna
Mrs. Ayala was born and raised in San Diego California. She left her place of birth after high school to complete her undergraduate education at UC Berkeley. She finished Law School in 2006 and is currently a practicing immigration Attorney at Ronzio & Associates.
Mrs. Ayala has always sought out to engage in activities that benefit the immigrant and low income Latino communities. Through Law School she interned at Legal Aid of Orange County, Santa Ana CA where she assisted underrepresented clients on Civil matters and housing discrimination issues. In addition, she interned with the prestigious Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) where she conducted extensive legal research and community education in areas of law affecting the Latino community including; immigration raid awareness, civil rights abuse, and employment law infringement.
Mrs. Ayala is currently the acting President of the Association of Professionals and Students (APS) and has served as vice-president and co-chair to the Legal committee since this organization's inception.
Mrs Ayala is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
