Mr. Fisher has 50 years experience as a lawyer concentrating in estate planning and corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions. He has served on and /or acted as advisor to boards of directors, officers, and employees on corporate governance, audit committees, internal investigations and dealing with governmental entities. As a trial lawyer, he concentrated in complex and class action litigation in a variety of fields including antitrust, securities, franchise, employment disputes, breach of contract, unfair business practices and communications. Mr. Fisher was Of Counsel at Arter & Hadden LLP, 1984-July 2003; Member, Federal Service Impasses Panel, 1992-2002 (Presidential Appointment); Special Counsel, Attorney General of Ohio, 1971-94; Partner/Of Counsel, Guren, Merritt, Feibel, Sogg & Cohen, 1974-84; Partner, Fuerst, Fisher, Levy & Goulder, 1957-74; Associate, Ulmer, Berne, Laronge, Glickman & Curtis, 1954-57; Law Clerk, Chief Judge Charles C. Simons, United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, 1953-54. Mr. Fisher currently devotes all of his time to estate planning in Ohio and Florida, consulting to business and non-profit entities on governance and compliance programs and business planning, arbitration and meditation in the private and federal sector as well as serving as an expert witness in Federal/State Courts on arbitration, ethics, fairness of Class Action settlements and attorney fees. He is a Life member of the National Uniform Law Commission and a member of the drafting committees on the Uniform Trust Code (2000 with amendments through 2003), Uniform Probate Code (1990 with amendments through 2003), Revisions to the Uniform Securities Act, Unclaimed Properties Act, Uniform Business Trust Act, Uniform Limited Partnership Act, Model Cross Entity Act and a former member of Uniform Commercial Code and the Joint ALI/ULC Permanent Editorial Board on the Uniform Commercial Code. He has served as drafting chairman of the Model Act on Employment Termination, and member or enactment coordinator of the drafting committees on Revisions to the Uniform Arbitration Act (RUAA), the Uniform Mediation Act and testified before various state legislatures urging enactment of these acts.
