Having graduated from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, I bring a distinctive background that includes a joint-degree in Women’s Studies and Economics from Hunter College. My internship experiences in both civil and criminal courts across New York City have earned me a Gold Level Public Service Award for my dedication to excellence in Public Service. Specifically, at the Nassau County District Attorney’s office, I collaborated closely with the Special Victims Bureau, supporting attorneys in trial preparation for cases involving violent sexual offenders and vulnerable sex abuse victims. Having devoted thousands of hours to pro bono legal assistance, my commitment lies in my passion for the law and ensuring you receive the representation you deserve. Mr. Connor D. Deverell earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in French from the College of Charleston in 2009. He went on to receive his J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2012. While in law school, he served on the editorial board for the Loyola Law Review, and published the case note, “Defining A Corporation's ‘Principal Place Of Business’: The United States Supreme Court's Decision In Hertz Corp. V. Friend.” Mr. Deverell participated in numerous legal internships and volunteer activities, both in college and in law school. While studying abroad in Australia, he assisted refugees in obtaining residency and work visas as a volunteer for C.A.S.E. Law Firm for Refugees. As a law clerk for a legal services organization, he aided the homeless in securing public assistance. He also interned at a national healthcare law firm and a public defender’s office before becoming a project attorney at an international law firm in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Deverell was an associate attorney for a disability and personal injury law firm prior to joining Disability Justice. He advocated for clients’ Social Security disability benefits in more than 900 hearings before administrative law judges..

Morton Price is senior counsel to the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice Group, where he puts his decades of experience to work for each one of his clients.Along with lecturing widely on estate planning, Mort’s experience also includes acting as Guardian ad Litem in a number of complicated accounting and construction proceedings. He has also successfully represented the family of a holocaust art theft victim. He has also been an active member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, where he has served on several committees, including the Committee on Administrative Law, the Committee on Professional Responsibility, the Committee on Legal Problems of the Aging, and the chairman of the Transportation Committee. Mort graduated from Yale Law School after graduating cum laude from Bowdoin College, where he was an elected member of Phi Beta Kappa. After completing a term of active military service, he went to work as an assistant to Professor Jack Weinstiein of Columbia Law School and as a clerk for Associate Justice Herbert Cohen of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. In years prior, Mort was the Managing Partner of Schwab Goldberg Price & Dannay, which would later merge with Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman and is currently with McLaughlin Stern, where he focuses on estate planning, preparation of wills and trusts, estate administration, and real estate. He has also served as Treasurer and a Trustee of the City Club of New York and as a member of the United Nations Hospitality Committee.

Martin Garbus has a diverse practice that consists of individuals and companies involved in politics, media, entertainment, and the arts. An international observer in foreign elections, he was selected by President Jimmy Carter to observe and report on the elections in Venezuela and Nicaragua. Mr. Garbus also participated in drafting several constitutions and foreign laws, including the Czechoslovak constitution. He also has been involved in prisoner exchange negotiations between governments. He is the author of six books and over 30 articles in The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times. Mr. Garbus is featured in Shouting Fire, an award-winning documentary film about his life and career. He received the Fulbright Award for his work on International Human Rights in 2010. In 2014, University College Dublin's' Literary and Historical Society honored Mr. Garbus with the James Joyce Award for Excellence in Law, which is also the same year Trinity College awarded him for his human rights and free speech work. Mr. Garbus has also taught trial practice at Yale Law School and Constitutional law at Columbia. He has also taught classes in Beijing, China, and Prague, Czech Republic. He has lived and practiced in China and Italy as well as the United States. He authored six books and numerous articles that have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and numerous legal publications. Mr. Garbus has given hundreds of speeches on various aspects of law before Bar Associations, corporations, law schools, and on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, and other television and radio networks. In this area, Mark has served as counsel in federal litigation to bond holders who suffered financial losses as a result of a massive sovereign default by the Republic of Argentina. Mark has also served as a legal advisor to a partnership involved in the development of a 1.5 billion dollar undersea fiber optic cable venture and counseled clients in corporate and real estate matters.
