About Stephen
Steve Bolton is a native of Northwest Florida and an honors graduate of both the University of West Florida and the Florida State University College of Law. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1981 and has also been admitted to the U.S. District Courts of the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals Eleventh Circuit. Steve is also one of only a few attorneys in Northwest Florida who have been admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court. He has been co-counsel on Accutane trials with partner Mike Hook, and also handles complex business, toxic tort and personal injury cases in both state and federal courts.
He has been board certified as a civil trial lawyer by the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy since 1991. This certification is an ongoing process and requires input from both attorneys and judges.
For many years, Steve focused his practice on civil trial litigation and corporate defense, trying over 125 cases to verdict. He represented individuals and both small businesses and Fortune 500 companies alike, and often handled high profile litigation on behalf of many major insurance companies. Over the years, Steve changed his focus to defending plaintiffs in personal injury cases against such companies. His experiences on both sides of the law and his knowledge of the strategies and defenses of insurance companies and big business bring a wealth of knowledge to the practice.
