Steve Jarmon | Malvern Criminal Lawyer

A passion for law and justice began early for Steve. Raised in his home state of Delaware by his grandparents, he learned the value of hard work, determination, and education. This strong foundation aided his success at the University of Delaware, where he earned his degree in Leadership. While in college, he made the decision to use the legal system as a means to fight injustice and discrimination. Steve then pursued his goal of becoming an attorney by attending Widener School of Law. In law school, he followed a clerkship in private practice by accepting an offer to intern with the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

After obtaining his Juris Doctorate degree and successfully passing the Pennsylvania Bar Exam on his first try, Steve became an Assistant District Attorney with the Chester County District Attorney's Office. It was here that he gained his trial experience and successfully prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases on behalf of the Commonwealth. He used his time there to make an impact on kids throughout the community, accepting speaking engagements for our area youths.

Since leaving the District Attorney's office, Steve focuses on both criminal litigation. Steve feels very strongly that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and he strives to be a zealous advocate for each and every client to make sure the criminal justice system is fair and just. As a prominent African American lawyer who is based in Chester County and West Chester, Pennsylvania, he is sensitive to the need to protect your civil rights.

• Acquittal on Felony Sex Crime Charges Practice Area: Criminal Defense Outcome: Acquittal Description: Our most recent victory came in Media PA at the Delaware County Courthouse where our client was facing multiple counts including several felony counts of Institutional Sexual Assault. Our client was accused of having improper contact with a minor who was in a controlled institutional setting and he was firm and unshakable in his innocence. Our client benefited from retaining our services immediately, allowing us the time to build his case and successfully undermine the credibility of the Commonwealth's case. Our efforts ended in an acquittal and vindication for our client Another Victory! Practice Area: Criminal Defense Outcome: Aggravated Assault Acquittal Description: Client was charged with Felony Aggravated Assault against his estranged wife. Through a tough and vigorous cross examination I was able to expose the true motive for the allegations and the jury returned a verdict of not guilty on all assault charges. Juvenile Robbery Charge Practice Area: Criminal Defense Outcome: Acquittal Drug Possession Charge Practice Area:Criminal Defense Outcome: Drug Charges were dropped to a citation only DUI Acquittal. Practice Area: DUI & DWI Outcome: Not Guilty Description: Not guilty verdict on a driving under the influence charge after a one day jury trial. Acquittal on Burglary case Practice Area: Criminal Defense Outcome: Not Guilty Description: Client was charged with a home invasion burglary. Not Guilty in Retail Theft Case Practice Area: Criminal Defense Outcome: Not Guilty Description: Client was wrongly accused of stealing merchandise from a consignment shop. Felony Aggravated Assault Dismissed in Montgomery County Practice Area: Criminal Defense Outcome: Charges were dismissed at the preliminary hearing
