Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
There was a man falsely arrested and incarcerated and I told the DA to release him but they took their time doing so and now there's a successful civil lawsuit against the DA for false imprisonment.
How did you build a successful practice?
Taking and accepting as many cases as possible from SPD & Dean Appointments. Finding good support staff is also crucial. Just putting in the hours.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Honesty, telling the client the risk and the truth and not just telling them what they want to hear.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Knowing the local players, DA & Judges is a one up on any outsider coming into a new jurisdiction.

Name, spelling, date of birth, location of case (county/city), specific questions.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I'd like to believe that I take more time, am more compassionate and go the extra mile for my clients. I understand recovery and can relate to addiction. I've been poor and lived in the inner city.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
When someone is appreciative and embraces recovery and ""gets it.""
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Being a father to my daughter, advocating for children of divorce.
