About Steven
Steven Slepian is a former Social Security Judge. Since 1978, he has represented over 4,500 claimants before the Social Security Administration regarding applications for disability benefits.
His educational background includes New York Law School LL.B.; with Certificate of Award for Achieving highest grades in Philosophical Jurisprudence, Legal Bibliography and Writing, Equity.
Professionally, he has been a Member of the Arizona State Bar and the Maricopa County Bar since April 1977, the State Bar of New York since December 22, 1964, the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York since March 1967, and the United States District Court for the District of Arizona since May 1978.
Steve Slepian served as a Federal Administrative Law Judge, Office of Hearings and Appeals, Social Security Administration, United States Department of Health and Human Services, 1977; Parking Violations Hearing Officer, New York City, Senior Trial Attorney, Legal Aid Society, Criminal Division, New York City, 1965-1967. He defended over 2,000 people accused of criminal conduct prior to his judgeship. He is also a former member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
