Susan H. Aprill, Attorney

Ms. Aprill has been practicing civil litigation in Florida since 1982, having graduated from the University of Miami School of Law with honors. She concentrates her practice in civil litigation, ranging from business and real estate disputes to employment and First Amendment law, including advice on prevention of libel suits.

She has represented a wide range of clients from individual business owners and homeowners to local governments, newspapers, financial institutions, health care providers, limousine companies, art dealers, farmers, and hospitality companies, including a management contractor for an Indian gaming operation, and a variety of domestic and foreign businesses.

During the past year she won a summary judgment for a debt collector in a fair debt collection practices act case; served as receiver 3 times -- for a medical billing company, for a 177 unit mobile home park and for a luxury rental property in foreclosure. She has also successfully represented transportation services and hospitality companies in state and federal wage and hour disputes. She has also been appointed Special Master by the Broward Circuit Court and has testified as an expert witness on attorneys fees disputes.
