About Susan
Susan M. Spiess was born and raised in Amherst New York which is a suburb outside of Buffalo and attended the State University of New York at Geneseo where she majored in history with minors in economics and environmental studies. She attended the University of Dayton School of Law where she graduated with her JD in 1999 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in January 2000. She has been with the Fowler Law Office since 1999 and has focused her practice on the issues facing the elderly including Medicaid planning, estate administration and estate planning. In addition, she practices in the area of Residential Real Estate and Title Insurance. She has been a member of the New York State Bar Association since 2000 and is also a member of the Elder Law Section of the New York State Bar Association. She also has acted as a Court Evaluator in several guardianship proceedings and also is currently acting as a guardian for a disabled individual.
She currently lives in Schaghticoke, New York with her husband, daughter and two golden retrievers. She enjoys being involved with her daughter's school and sporting activities and enjoys reading.
