About Susan
While previously serving as director of a firm in Annapolis, MD, Susan’s practice was primarily devoted to civil litigation with an emphasis on domestic relations law, which has given her a unique and valuable perspective as a practicing family law attorney. She has been certified in advanced domestic mediation and conflict resolution with a focus on marital property issues, custody, visitation and child support since 2015, in civil mediation since 2009, and collaborative law since 2007. In 2014 Susan was elected a Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation in recognition of her outstanding dedication to the welfare of her community, the administration of justice, and the traditions of the profession of law. In 2009, she was admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. She is often appointed by the court to serve as a guardian of persons and property and to represent children as a best interest attorney, child advocate, and privilege attorney.
A graduate of University of Baltimore School of Law, Susan was admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland in 1997, and in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland in 1999. She authored several articles on Divorcing Gracefully. While attending law school, her writing was published in the University of Baltimore Journal of Environmental Law.
