Although Shane was born in Pensacola , Florida , he was raised in the Florida Keys . He graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Law and received his bachelor's degree in Criminology. Certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a Legal Intern, Shane represented indigent clients in various legal matters while at the University of Florida .
