About Tammy
Tammy Bowles Raines grew up in Summers County, West Virginia. After graduating from Meadow Bridge High School in 1997, she attended West Virginia University where she earned a bachelor's degree in political science in 2000, graduating magna cum laude through the University's Honors Program. She received her law degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 2004. While attending law school, Ms. Raines was a member of the National Moot Court Team and winner of the Best Brief Award, Moot Court Competition 2003. She is a recipient of Order of the Barristers award.
Ms. Raines is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Southern District and Northern District in West Virginia. Since she began practicing law, Ms. Raines has engaged in many aspects of civil litigation including medical professional liability and personal injury. Among her many interests, she enjoys the outdoors and traveling with her husband, Ryan. Ms. Raines is a member of the West Virginia State Bar, and the Kanawha County Bar Association.
