Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Within the last year, I handled a probate matter involving an estate that had no comprehensive estate plan in place and significant family conflict following the decedent’s death. Multiple heirs had differing expectations, there were questions regarding asset ownership, and communication among family members had broken down to the point that litigation seemed inevitable. My role was to step in early, clarify the legal framework, and bring structure to what was an emotionally charged situation. I guided the personal representative through the probate process, ensured statutory deadlines were met, corrected title and beneficiary issues, and facilitated discussions among the heirs to set realistic expectations under the law. By providing clear explanations and steady guidance, I was able to de-escalate tensions and help the family reach a resolution without prolonged litigation. Ultimately, the estate was administered efficiently, assets were distributed according to law, and the family avoided unnecessary legal fees and court involvement. Beyond the technical outcome, the most meaningful impact was helping the family move forward during a difficult period with clarity, closure, and a better understanding of why proactive estate planning is so important.

How did you build a successful practice?

I built a successful estate planning and probate practice by prioritizing client trust, clear communication, and consistent service. By educating clients in plain language and setting realistic expectations, I established strong relationships that led to repeat business and referrals. I also focused on efficient systems, responsiveness, and community engagement, which helped build credibility and a steady referral network. Over time, this approach created a sustainable practice grounded in reputation, reliability, and client confidence.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for a lawyer who combines experience, clarity, and responsiveness. Key qualities to consider: Experience in the specific area of law related to your matter Clear communication and the ability to explain complex issues in plain language Transparency about fees, process, and expectations Attention to detail and a proactive approach Responsiveness and respect for your time A professional reputation supported by reviews or referrals Most importantly, clients should feel comfortable asking questions and confident that their lawyer understands their goals and will advocate for their best interests. A good lawyer does not rush decisions. They help you make informed ones.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is essential to successful estate planning and probate cases, especially in areas like Lighthouse Point, Coconut Creek, and Boca Raton. Each court has its own procedures and expectations, and familiarity with local judges, clerks, and filing practices helps cases move more efficiently and avoids unnecessary delays. Understanding the local community and common asset and real estate issues also allows for more practical planning and smoother probate administration, resulting in better outcomes for clients.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

The free phone consultation is a brief introductory call designed to help you understand your options and decide whether you need legal services. During the call, we can: -Discuss your general situation and goals -Provide high-level information about Florida estate planning or probate -Explain how wills, trusts, or probate typically work -Identify common issues we see for families in Parkland, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, and nearby areas -Outline possible next steps if you choose to proceed The free consultation does not include legal advice or document review and does not create an attorney-client relationship. You should leave knowing whether professional help is needed and what the next step would be.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

To make the most of a free phone consultation, we typically ask for: A brief overview of your situation or concern Whether the matter involves estate planning or probate in Florida General information about family members or beneficiaries involved Any deadlines, court filings, or urgent issues Your goals and what outcome you are hoping to achieve You do not need to prepare documents for the free call. The purpose of the consultation is to understand your situation at a high level and determine whether our firm is the right fit and what the next step should be.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

What differentiates me from other lawyers in my community is a combination of practical guidance, accessibility, and a strong focus on education. I take the time to ensure clients truly understand their options and the long-term implications of their decisions, rather than simply preparing documents or moving a case through the system. I also emphasize clear communication, responsiveness, and realistic expectations throughout the process. By combining technical proficiency with a client-centered approach and deep familiarity with local courts and practices, I provide service that is not only legally sound but also efficient, transparent, and supportive during what is often a very personal and stressful time for clients.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of my work is helping clients gain peace of mind during some of life’s most difficult and uncertain moments. Whether I am guiding a family through probate or helping a client put a thoughtful estate plan in place, I see the immediate relief that comes from clarity and preparation. Knowing that my work helps protect families, reduce conflict, and ease the burden on loved ones long after a client is gone makes the practice both meaningful and fulfilling.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

In addition to my legal practice, I place a strong value on my family and the time spent with them. I enjoy being present for family milestones, traditions, and everyday moments, which reinforces why the work I do is so meaningful, helping others protect what matters most. That focus on family also shapes how I approach my practice. It keeps me grounded, reinforces the importance of planning ahead, and reminds me that behind every legal matter is a family seeking stability, clarity, and peace of mind.

Are you involved in your community?

Yes! I volunteer regularly for various organizations. I also host seminars and free workshops. Lastly, I am the chair of the Parkland Chamber Power Partners group, a subgroup of the Parkland Chamber of Commerce.
