After graduating law school with honors Duane Stamp began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in New York, successfully prosecuting felony and high-profile criminal cases. This was followed by a tenure as Assistant Attorney General with the New York State Department of Law, focusing on environmental protection and compliance. Duane was approached by Fortune 100 Occidental Petroleum Corporation (NYSE- OXY) and accepted a position as associate general counsel. He spent the next nineteen years in Oxy’s legal department accumulating a wealth of experience in the legal aspects of business issues management, corporate governance, sales, purchasing, new business development, corporate transactions and financing, financial reporting and regulatory compliance, rising to the level of division Vice-President and General Counsel. During his years with Oxy Duane traveled extensively, domestically and internationally, as a leading member of Oxy’s business teams negotiating, documenting and closing high-value merger, acquisition and new business development transactions with companies across the United States and in Canada, Germany, the UK, Brazil, Argentina, Thailand and Japan. Guy Neil Goodson graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1973, and then attended law school at Southern Methodist University, graduating in 1976. Guy began his legal career at the law firm of Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller in Fort Worth, Texas specializing in tax practice, and moved to Beaumont in 1978 as regulatory counsel for Gulf States Utilities Co. Guy is active in the legal community having been President of the Jefferson County Bar Association in 1991-1992, and President of the Young Lawyers Association in 1984. He represented Ward II on the Beaumont City Council from 1990 – 2003, and served as Mayor for the City of Beaumont, Texas, 2005 – 2007. Guy is also active in state municipal affairs and served as President of the Texas Municipal League in 2001 – 2002. Brant Stogner grew up in El Campo, Texas – a small town about an hour southwest of Houston. In high school, Brant excelled at both athletics and academics. Brant graduated in the top ten percent of his high school class; in sports, Brant and the Ricebirds won six district championships in football and baseball during his three years starting on varsity. Brant earned all-district honors all three years in both sports while also participating in theater and the National Honor Society. Despite a knee injury and subsequent knee surgery in his senior year of high school, Brant accepted a full scholarship to the University of Houston to play linebacker for the Cougars under former head coach Kim Helton. In college, Brant’s academic success continued. In his freshman year at the University of Houston, Brant earned the 1997 Conference USA Academic Excellence Award, earning the highest grade point average (GPA) of all football players in the conference. After playing two seasons, and having three surgeries in as many years, Brant decided to hang up his football cleats and transfer to Texas A&M University to complete his business degree. In College Station, Brant’s scholastic accolades continued to mount. Brant was a member of numerous honor societies and graduated in the top ten percent of his class with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. After graduation from Texas A&M University, Brant moved back to Houston to attend law school at South Texas College of Law Houston. In law school, Brant quickly became a member of the law school’s nationally ranked mock trial and moot court program under Dean T. Gerald Treece. Following just his third semester in law school, Brant won the Intramural Summer Academy Mock Trial Competition and received the Best Speaker Award. Ultimately, Brant competed as a varsity advocate in 15 mock trial and moot court competitions across the country. In addition to numerous individual speaker awards, Brant won a state tournament championship, a regional moot court tournament championship, two regional mock trial tournament championships, and, ultimately, a National Championship in mock trial at the ATLA National Trial Competition in his final semester of law school. Brant graduated law school in May of 2006 in the top fifteen percent of his law school class, was admitted into the Order of Barristers, and received the 2006 Dean’s Outstanding Student Advocate Award. Brant met his wife, Jennifer O’Brien Stogner, in law school and she was one of his mock trial partners when they won the ATLA Regional Championship in Dallas, Texas and the National Championship in Miami, Florida. Brant and Jennifer have two boys, Ryker and Beckett Stogner, and one girl, Holland Stogner. Brant and Jennifer’s partnership continues as Jennifer joined the firm in 2018 as Of Counsel.

Karen R. Bennett, managing principal with the firm, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988 from the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Texas Tech University. Karen has handled a docket of personal injury and civil litigation files since the beginning of her practice. She is also the principal in charge of the firm’s Family Law Department. She has litigated cases in the discovery phase and trial of several complex cases including those involving class actions and prescription drugs. Shenila A. Momin graduated with a double major in Political Science and Communications in 1995 from Houston Baptist University suma cum laude. She attended some of the top law schools in the United States from Notre Dame Law School in South Bend, Indiana to Southern Methodist University Law School in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Momin was admitted to the State of Bar of Texas in 1999. She is authorized to practice law before the Supreme Court of Texas and all Immigration Courts. She is also a member of the State Bar of Texas and American Immigration Lawyer’s Association (AILA). Ms. Momin is one of the founding partners in the law firm and she practices in all areas of immigration, business transactions including real estate and corporate acquisitions and trademark registration. Ms. Momin represents a wide variety of clients from the individual employer to multi-million dollar corporations. Shenila A. Momin has served and continues to serve in various local community organizations and is head of the legal affairs department for Ibn Sina Foundation, a non-profit health organization in Houston, Texas.

Larry L. Germer is a trial lawyer who has defended clients in major cases in all areas of litigation. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1963 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 1966, he received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law, graduating in the top 5% of his class. He has been recognized as a “Texas Super Lawyer”, a Thompson Reuters publication, annually since 2003. He has been active in insurance coverage lawsuits and has published an article dealing with conflicts problems in the insured/insurance company relationship. In recent years, he has been involved in major patent litigation. Larry is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the Jefferson County Bar Association. Larry has served on the Commission for Lawyer Discipline, a twelve-member board responsible for the grievance process for the State Bar of Texas. As a long-term member of the Texas Association of Defense Counsel, Larry has served on the board as an officer of that organization. He is a past Director of the State Bar of Texas and has served on its Executive Committee.
