Shaunté M. Collins is a native Austinite and first joined Germer in 2020. She graduated from Duke University with a degree in Political Science and certificate in Politics, Philosophy & Economics. She then received her Doctor of Jurisprudence, with honors, from St. Mary’s University School of Law. While in law school, Shaunté was awarded the Chief Justice Alma Lopez “Women in Law” Student Leadership Award, was a Deans’ Academic Award recipient, and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi legal honors society. Shaunté served as a Staff Writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Justice and was the winner and Best Speaker of the Linda and Dave Schlueter First-Year Moot Court Competition. Additionally, she served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Rebeca Martinez at the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals.

Latoya Chambers is a Senior Counsel and member of the mass torts and personal injury practice with a focus on dangerous products, medications, and medical devices such as Avandia, IVC filters, Benicar, gliflozins, Actos, Xarelto, Zantac, Pradaxa, talcum powder, infant formula, chemical hair relaxers, and surgical staplers. Latoya established her career working at a nationally recognized mass tort firm for 16 years, first as a law clerk and then as a licensed attorney. Ms. Chambers earned a bachelor's degree in business administration, cum laude, in 2003 from the University of Texas at Dallas. She earned her juris doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas, in 2010. She resides in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex with her family and enjoys spending time with them, trying different cuisines, engaging in art, traveling, baking, watching movies, and gardening.

Katherine (“Katie”) Hawkins is a dedicated immigration attorney based in North Texas, with a strong commitment to serving diverse communities. She graduated from Texas A&M University School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2018. Before pursuing a legal career, Ms. Hawkins worked as an elementary school teacher in South Louisiana, where she taught third and fourth graders. Ms. Hawkins holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Louisiana Tech University, which she utilizes to provide trauma-informed legal care.
