Tom Cellilli's practice focuses on complex civil litigation in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation, general tort and insurance fraud law. In the area of product liability law, Mr. Cellilli represents insurers, manufacturers, brokers, distributors and property owners in matters involving catastrophic losses and significant damages claims arising out of fires, explosions and chemical spills. Through his specialization and experience in fire litigation, Mr. Cellilli has developed expertise in areas including scientific evidence, the retention of relevant experts, and the preservation of evidence in concern to spoliation and e-discovery demands. Mr. Cellilli has litigated approximately 60 jury trials to verdict throughout the
Prior to joining Stern & Montana, L.L.P., Mr. Cellilli was a founding member and principal in Locher, Cellilli, Pavelka & Dostal, L.L.C., where his practice focused on product liability, commercial fire litigation and insurance fraud law. While at Locher, Mr. Cellilli argued several cases of first impression before the Nebraska Supreme Court in the area of fire litigation and arson for profit. He is a frequent speaker at regional, national and international organizations concerning insurance issues, including the International Association of Special Investigations Units, and has participated in a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms sponsored seminar focusing on fire science, and compliance with National Fire Protection Association standards.
