The case was dismissed.

Extremely Favorable Plea - Drug Charges

Client was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver over 100 pounds of marijuana and Tax Stamp Violation. After in-depth investigation and repeated discussions with the prosecution, Mr. Olsen successfully negotiated an extremely favorable plea for the client, whereby the client pled to a misdemeanor offense for a fine, resulting in no jail time or probation.

Dismissed - Drug Charges

Client was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver over 1,500 pounds of marijuana, one of the largest marijuana stops in Nebraska history. After thorough investigation by Mr. Olsen of all police reports and videos related to the case revealed insufficient evidence to tie the client to said charges, Mr. Olsen artfully negotiated a complete dismissal of all charges filed against the client.

Dismissed - Drug Charges

Client was arrested and charged with multiple felony offenses, including Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance - Marijuana and Tax Stamp Violation. After thorough investigation and tireless negotiations, Mr. Olsen secured a complete dismissal of all charges filed against the client in exchange for the forfeiting of her bond proceeds.

Dismissed - Drug Charges

Client was arrested and charged with multiple felony drug offenses. At the Preliminary Hearing, Mr. Olsen aggressively and effectively cross-examined law enforcement officers regarding the stop, search, and evidence supporting said charges. Thereafter, Mr. Olsen successfully petitioned the District Court, arguing in a Plea in Abatement Hearing that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with said charges. The District Court Judge agreed, resulting in a complete dismissal of all charges.

Dismissed - Sexual Assault Charges

Client was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Sexual Assault. After exhaustive pre-trial preparation, Mr. Olsen expertly deposed the State's main eyewitness, exposing significant inconsistencies with the statement and testimony of the alleged victim. Based on Mr. Olsen’s tireless efforts, the State had no alternative but to dismiss the sexual assault charge filed against the client, sparing the client not only the potential prison sentence, but also having to register as a sex offender.

Dismissed - Sexual Assault Charges

Client was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Sexual Assault. After comprehensive pre-trial discovery and preparation, including analysis of DNA and medical evidence, Mr. Olsen skillfully and precisely deposed the alleged victim, exposing compelling inconsistencies with her statements to law enforcement and medical examiners. Dismissed - Murder Charges

Client was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection with the highly publicized shooting death of a federal drug informant during a botched robbery attempt. After extensive pre-trial discovery and trial preparation, Mr. Olsen skillfully deposed the State's star witness, exposing major discrepancies in the case in chief against the client. Based on Mr. Olsen’s brilliant cross-examination, the State had no alternative but to dismiss all charges filed against the client. The remaining Co-Defendants were convicted and are serving life sentences.

Dismissed - Murder Charges

Client was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Murder and related charges stemming from the beating and murder of the victim in her apartment. At the Preliminary Hearing, Mr. Olsen methodically and meticulously cross-examined law enforcement officers regarding the evidence related to the client’s actual involvement in the murder of victim. Thereafter, Mr. Olsen successfully petitioned the District Court, arguing in a Plea in Abatement Hearing, that there was insufficient evidence to proceed with the 1st Degree Murder Charge against the client. The District Court Judge agreed, resulting in the dismissal of said charge against the client. The Co-Defendants were convicted and are serving life sentences.
