About Thomas
Mr. Shook is a native of South Carolina and is a member attorney in the North Charleston office. Prior to pursuing a legal career, he served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a systems analyst for the Atlantic Fleet Polaris Material Office. Mr. Shook is a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College, The University of South Carolina, and The University of South Carolina School of Law.
While in law school Mr. Shook received the CALI award (formerly the American Jurisprudence Award) in Corporate Tax, was Editor in Chief of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal, and was a student member of the John Belton O'Neill Inn of Court and Phi Delta Phi.
He authored Ninth Circuit Rejects Narrow Interpretation of "Responsible Corporate Officer," published as a note in the Spring 1999 edition of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal, and The Submarine War in the Pacific, published in the Spring 1996 edition of the War Studies Journal, King's College, London.
Mr. Shook was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in November 2000, and practices in the firm's Foreclosure Department.
