About Timothy
Timothy J. Cook is Of Counsel for Doucet & Associates. Timothy is registered to practice in the Southern District of Ohio Federal Court and the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is also an active member of the Central Ohio Association of Justice. Timothy focuses on representing clients in foreclosure defense and various other consumer related litigation including: the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA); Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA); and Consumer Sales Practices Act (CSPA). Since joining Doucet & Associates in early 2016, Timothy has helped many homeowners facing mortgage related problems reach a favorable resolution.
In 2012, Timothy graduated Cum Laude from Wright State University with a degree in political science. In 2015, Timothy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Capital University Law School and with distinction as a member of the Order of the Curia. While enrolled in at Capital University Law School, Timothy gained valuable experience clerking for a solo practitioner, and he also completed externships with Disability Rights Ohio and the Ohio Department of Insurance. While clerking Timothy gained various legal skills including: drafting complaints, motions, memoranda, and answers.
After law school, Timothy focused on preparing for the July, 2015 bar exam and scored a 179.9, in the 100th percentile, on the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE). Timothy lives in Hilliard with his wife, Dr. Kimberly N. Cook, DVM, their dog, Denali, and their cat, Rajah.
