Travis R. Walker, Esq. is the founder of The Law Offices of Travis R. Walker, P.A. Travis is a graduate of Port St. Lucie High School, Indian River Community College, Florida Atlantic University, and Florida Coastal School of Law. Travis practices real estate law and civil litigation. He also provides consulting regarding governmental affairs and public policy. Travis found his inspiration to practice law from his involvement in public service and charities. His participation had allowed him to gain exposure towards service-oriented lawyers, and due to this, he has now been practicing law for 10 years.

Travis is an active member of the community where he has served on the Economic Growth Team of Port St. Lucie, the Planning and Zoning Board of Port St. Lucie, the St. Lucie County Boys and Girls Club, United Way of St. Lucie County, and the Port St. Lucie Area Council for the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce. He also served as a judge for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Florida Teen Court, the City of Port St. Lucie Police Department Youth Court, and the St. Lucie County Young Floridian Scholarship. Travis is a past president of the Port St. Lucie Bar Association. He was a Rotarian and served as Treasurer with the Port St. Lucie Sunset Rotary Club. He is also a former board member of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce (and it's Governmental Affairs Committee), the St. Lucie County Business Alliance for Prosperity, and for the Medical Liaison Committee for the St. Lucie County Bar Association. Travis has been selected on three separate occasions by former Congressman Patrick Murphy to serve on the Service Academy Panel for the 18th Congressional District of Florida. He also has served as a Law Clerk for First District Court of Appeal Jurist Philip Padovano. Travis is a member of the Florida Bar, the United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, and the Washington State Bar.

Travis currently serves as a board member of the St. Lucie County Education Foundation and the Hibiscus Children’s Center, where he currently serves as Vice-Chair. He is a member of the Major B. Harding Inn of Court and the St. Lucie County Economic Development Council. His favorite quote is, “The Man in the Arena,” by Theodore Roosevelt, and, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” -Proverbs 3:5.

Travis and his wife, Anissa, are the proud parents of Travis Jr. and Abigail. He has run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, and enjoys traveling to national parks, golfing, skiing, and dining at Michelin star restaurants as well as locations featured on Man v. Food. He is a huge fan of the band U2, but has an interest in a wide variety of music. He enjoys any movies starring Daniel Day-Lewis, as well as the movie Good Will Hunting. While growing up, Travis wanted to be a paleontologist.

Please describe a case(s) in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
We represented a property owner going through a difficult partition case with challenging Defendants.  The client was overjoyed when the property sold for more than expected and when the case settled. We represented a wife going through a difficult divorce.  We guided her through the process, listening to her concerns, and helping her to evaluate her options.  She was so happy with our services, she recommended a friend.

How did you build a successful practice?
By putting the client first.  It is important our clients know we don't only care about their case, but care about them as a person and that is why we will fight extra aggressively to get our clients the best result

What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for an attorney who cares about them and shows that in every interaction while also showing passion for meeting their needs.  Clients should look for an attorney who listens more than talks, and understands and has empathy for them.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Especially in this area, local knowledge is key from real estate to family law.  Knowing the energy and love the people in this area have for it helps guide us in making sure our client's goals are met in the right way.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
We provide an evaluation of the case to determine whether we are the best fit for the case and will provide alternative options if we are not.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
A description of the case and what the client is looking to achieve.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
Our firm prides itself on really caring about our clients and achieving the results or very close to the results they expect. Our compassion, as well as an aggressive approach to each case, is why we excel in this community.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Helping clients achieve the results they want and seeing the smile and relief on their faces when the case is closed is the most rewarding part of our jobs.

What are your other interests in addition to law?
I enjoy nature, especially national parks.  I enjoy cycling, hiking, golf, and spending time with family.

Are you involved in your community?
I currently serve on the Board for the Hibiscus Children's Center as Vice-Chair.  I have served on the Boys and Girls Club of St. Lucie County Board of Directors, Board of Directors for the United Way of St. Lucie County, and the Board for Education Foundation of St. Lucie County.  In the past I have also served on the Economic Growth Team of Port St. Lucie, the Planning and Zoning Board of Port St. Lucie, the Port St. Lucie Area Council for the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce. I also served as a judge for the 19th Judicial Circuit of Florida Teen Court, the City of Port St. Lucie Police Department Youth Court, and the St. Lucie County Young Floridian Scholarship. I am a Past President of the Port St. Lucie Bar Association and was a Rotarian with the Port St. Lucie Sunset Rotary Club where I served as Treasurer. I was a board member of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce (and it's Governmental Affairs Committee), the St. Lucie County Business Alliance for Prosperity, and for the Medical Liaison Committee for the St. Lucie County Bar Association. I have been selected twice by Congressman Patrick Murphy to serve on the Service Academy Panel for the 18th Congressional District of Florida. I am a member of the Major B. Harding Inn of Court and the St. Lucie County Economic Development Council.
