Tricia Steele is a seasoned Corporate and Securities Attorney, based in Washington, DC. She currently works as a Principal Attorney at SL Global Partners, an international consortium of transactional attorneys. Areas of specialization include: Global Capital Markets, FinTech Advisory Services, Cross-Border Transactions, Alternative Investments, Islamic Finance, International Regulatory Regimes, SEC Regulations and Corporate Governance.
Ms. Steele spent 12 years at an AMLAW 50 firm, developing a breadth of experience in Global Capital Markets, M&A, Islamic Finance, SEC Reporting, Corporate Governance and Compliance. She gained significant international experience working out in the United Arab Emirates, Shanghai and London for extended periods, assisting clients in cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Ms. Steele is experienced in domestic and international debt and equity securities offerings, including SEC-registered offerings, private placements under Rule 144A and Regulation S, shelf offerings, tender offers and exchange offers on the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and international securities offerings on a number of foreign exchanges.
She has served as a key player on a number of mergers & acquisitions, representing public and private companies in a variety of acquisitions and divestitures, both domestically and cross-border.
Ms. Steele has advised private and public companies on general corporate governance matters, applicable regulations, and best practices. She frequently counsels domestic and international issuers on their ongoing compliance obligations under US securities laws.
Ms. Steele has closed transactions in over 30 countries, comprising over $15 billion in transactional value.
She received her J.D. from University of Chicago Law School in 2004 and her B.A. in Philosophy from Duke University in 2001.
