Notable Work
Plaintiff: Attorney for the plaintiffs, Samantha Bouldry et al. The issue before the court was a motion filed by the plaintiffs' to remand to State Court. The plaintiffs had filed a fourteen count class-action complaint alleging that they were each implanted with inferior vena caca, IVC, filters which had been manufactured by the defendants. They sought a medical monitoring fund to help prevent the risk of death or hemorrhage from a filter failure. After they filed their complaint, the defendant removed the action to a different court as part of the class action fairness act. The plaintiff's then filed this motion to remand. Upon review of the reasons brought forth by the plaintiffs, the court found little merit to their reasons to remand. Therefore their motion was denied.
