About Tyler
Mr. Nield received a J.D. from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 2007. During law school, he was an active member of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association (SIPLA) and was awarded the W.J. Mitchell Family Endowed Merit Fellowship for "demonstrating excellence in science and promise in the study of law." He served as a staff member for the Journal of Law and Family Studies. Mr. Nield joined K&M in 2004 as a technical writer and gained several years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications before becoming an associate.
Prior to law school, Mr. Nield received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Utah State University in 2004. He focused his studies on digital system design, analog and digital signal processing, VLSI, and device level system design. He received several scholarships from the College of Engineering and participated in various student design competitions. He also spent a short time working as an electrical design engineer in the semiconductor industry.
Mr. Nield is admitted to practice in the State of Utah.
