About Wallace

Wally Grant began his law practice in Colorado in 1967, continuing the tradition started by his father who practiced in Longmont until 1965.  Wally represents clients in a wide range of transactional matters and represents clients who seek advice in real estate, land use, estate planning, estate administration, and business law.

Wally was born in Glendale, California, but was raised in Longmont, Colorado. He was both a varsity football player and executive officer of his senior class at Yale University. He received his LL.B from Stanford University in 1967 and later graduated from the University of Denver with an M.B.A. in 1975.

Wally opened his first law firm, Grant & McCarren, in 1968 with his law school classmate, William J. McCarren. That firm has been a mainstay in the Longmont and Northern Colorado legal arena since its founding. As of 1995, Grant, Bernard, Lyons and Gaddis, P.C. was the largest firm in Longmont and among the largest in Northern Colorado. In 1995, Wally and his son, Cameron, formed Grant & Grant, changing the name to Grant, Grant & Goiran in 2003. In addition to founding and leading these two successful law firms, Wally has been and is actively involved in a number of outside business ventures, including family farming and ranching operations, Ivancie Wines, and including various real estate projects today.

Wally is a member of the Boulder County and Colorado Bar Association and is also licensed to practice in the State of California. He has served in the past as a director of the following organizations: St. Vrain Sanitation District (Chairman);Colorado National Bank of Longmont; Longmont National Bank; Longmont Downtown Development Authority (Chairman); Longmont United Hospital; Grant, Bernard, Lyons & Gaddis, P.C (Managing Partner); Economic Development Association of Longmont (Chairman); Boulder County Mental Health Foundation; Consolidated Lower Boulder Reservoir and Ditch Company; Baseline Land and Reservoir Company; District 6 Water Users Association; Triple G Livestock Company; Golden West Milling Company; Longmont Foundation; Longmont Council for the Arts; Longmont Meals on Wheels; Tiny Tim and Sheltered Workshop and the Boulder County Technology Incubator.
