About William
Mr. Ware attended Drew University as an undergraduate and obtained a degree in English. He thereafter obtained his Law degree from Vermont Law School in 1988.
Upon graduation, Mr. Ware served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Essex County, New Jersey for 5 years where he tried hundreds of cases including sexual assaults and homicides.
Mr. Ware briefly worked for the firm of Nolan & Ehler, a general law practice before he opened his own office for 5 years focusing primarily on criminal defense matters. During that time period, Mr. Ware handled several homicides as well as every other type of criminal case.
In 2001, Mr. Ware joined Maynard, Truland & Ware, LLC. where he successfully developed the Criminal Law Department handling several hundred criminal defense cases.
Most recently, Mr. Ware opened his own practice in 2010 in order to accommodate the ever growing need for his areas of practice.
In short, for over twenty years Mr. Ware has been involved in either the prosecution or defense of serious criminal cases ranging from narcotics charges to sexual assault and murder cases. Mr. Ware has specifically developed a unique skill level involving Megan’s Law and Community Supervision matters.
Mr. Ware has also taught classes at Seton Hall School of Law and Morris County College and has been an instructor in the New Jersey High School Moot Court Competition.
As both a prosecutor and defense attorney, Mr. Ware has tried over 100 trials. Some of his cases have received legal notoriety and media coverage.
