About William
Trucking Accidents, Car Accidents, Motorcycle Accidents, & Wrongful Death.
I am originally from the Indianapolis, Indiana area. My wonderful wife, Megan, is from Brigham City, Utah.
I have lived in many states (Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Tennessee, California and others), as well as outside the United States, which has given me variety, insight and the ability to relate to and understand many different types of people. Megan lived in Southern California (“SoCal”) for a few years in addition to Utah.
I met my sweet Megan while attending Weber State University in Ogden, Utah and completing my Bachelor of Science degree.
We next moved to Iowa where I attended law school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. We began our family in Iowa with our first child being born at the university’s hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
After graduating from law school, Megan and I decided to move back to Utah to be close to her parents and because we both really like our beautiful, great state of Utah where we have now lived for many years.
Megan, and I are blessed with six (6) beautiful, funny, precious children, four (4) girls and two (2) boys that bring us great happiness and keep us laughing and having fun. Our precious family is our greatest blessings. We count our blessings every day.

Questions & Answers
Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I had a Wrongful Death / Accidental Death Car Accident case in 2014 where the I was blessed to get maximum policy results ("policy limits") for the widow and her two sons for a total of $1.05M (One Million Fifty Thousand Dollars) for the case. The large amount of money in the case blessed the lives of the widow (and her two sons) in her / their time of tragedy that resulted in the death of their husband / father. The widow client wrote me a nice testimonial expressing her appreciation for the work I did to help her and her family.
How did you build a successful practice?
I have built a successful injury law firm practice by doing many things; some of them are: 1) Putting People (my clients) First / Before Money; I "Take Good Care of People and the Money Will Follow" is a business philosophy of mine; 2) Integrity, Compassion and Fun in my personal life and in my professional life with my clients; 3) Referrals from current and past clients, chiropractors, lawyers that do not practice personal injury law, people that know me in Church and from business networking groups / meetings I have attending throughout the years; 4) Educating clients and potential clients about injury law, insurance, the process of making an injury claim with an insurance company; 5) Not pressuring people "sign with me" but instead educating them and answering their questions; 6) Caring and helping my clients;
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Injured persons should look for injury lawyers who focus exclusively in personal injury law, who have written a book on vehicle accidents in Utah and who give that book to them as a Free Gift to help them gain more knowledge about what they should and should not do when they or a family member or friend are injured or killed in a vehicle accident. Injured personal should also look for a personal injury lawyer that practices with integrity, compassion and fun who believes, as I do "Take good care of people and the money will follow (your business will be very successful)." An injury lawyer who Communicates with them regularly about their case because good communication is important for every personal and business relationship to be successful.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge of Utah personal injury law, procedure, process and other relevant local information is very important to the success of my car accident cases and cannot be done well, and probably not at all, without it.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
In a free phone consultation I can provide potential clients with information about A) whether I think they have an injury or accident case I can help them with; B) explain the process of me helping them through making a claim for financial compensation; C) the timeframe involved if a car accident case settles, is mediated, arbitrated or litigated; D) help them to better understand their injuries and the importance of getting good and immediately healthcare for their injuries; and the impact their types of injuries may have on the life now and in the future; E) help answer questions they have about what to do now they or a family member or friend is injured or killed in a vehicle accident; F) eliminate the fear of talking with a lawyer and of having a lawyer represent them for their injuries / death claim G) help them feel at peace and gain understanding during the often chaotic and confusing experience of being injured in a car accident or losing a loved one in a car accident; H) other information about their case such as how to get a Police Report; that, if needed, I can often arrange to get their medical treatment done on lien so they won't have to pay any money out-of-pocket for healthcare;
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
In a free phone consultation I need: 1-Name of the person injured or killed in the accident; 2-Date, time and place of the accident; 3-Who caused the accident; 4-Types of injuries sustained (or that a death was caused); 5-Treatment done so far for those injuries (if they are calling for a person who died from the accident, the name of the decedent); 6) Medical Bills incurred so far for injuries from the accident, where the bills were incurred / treatment was done; 7) Name of insurance company of person that caused the car accident (if they were insured, if not, then a statement that they were not insured; 8) Name of the potential client's insurance company;
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
What differentiates me from other lawyers in my community: 1) I have written and published a book on Car Accidents in Utah; (very, very few lawyers write books in their practice areas); 2) I give my Car Accident Book to the public as a FREE Gift to help inform them about what to do and not to do if they or a family member or friend are ever in a vehicle accident so that even if people do not ever become my clients my injury book will help them be educated about what to do if they or a family member or friend are in a car accident; 3) People have told me many times over the years that I am very easy to talk to and ""the nicest lawyer they have ever met"" and funny; 4) I wear Funny Ties with my suits with ""Star Wars"", ""Goofy"", ""Hulk"", ""M&Ms"", ""Tigger and Winnie the Pooh"", ""Bugs Bunny"", ""Daffy Duck"", ""Superman"" and other fun ties because I like them and like having fun; because my wife and children like them and I all buy them fore me; and to help put people, especially potential clients and current clients at ease when they meet with me and talk with me, especially new clients when they first meet with me;
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping people who have been injured or lost a loved one in a Trucking, Car, Motorcycle Accident through one of the hardest times in their lives and protect them and advocate for them by representing them to make certain that they get the very best result in their case, and doing all this with integrity, compassion and excellence.
