About William

Bill Stilling chairs the firm's Health and Life Sciences Practice Group and is a member of the Litigation Department. His practice emphasizes drug and medical device law, dietary supplements and nutraceuticals, health care and life science regulatory issues, intellectual property, professional licensing, privacy law, health care fraud and abuse (Antikickback & Stark Laws), and other complex commercial litigation. Bill is a registered patent attorney and an associate professor (clinical) in the Department of Pharmacotherapy at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy where he teaches a course in drug law and policy and health care ethics. As noted below, Bill continues to make presentations on legal, health care, and privacy issues.

Mr. Stilling graduated from the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy in 1983 and received a master's degree in Pharmacy Administration in 1989 where his master's thesis explored a new model for reimbursement for professional services in a retail pharmacy setting. He graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in 1992, where he was note and comment editor for the Journal of Contemporary Law. After graduation, Bill served as law clerk to the Honorable Gregory K. Orme at the Utah Court of Appeals. Mr. Stilling was a member of the Utah State Bar Legal Medical Committee and served as chair for three years.
