Over $500 Million Recovered

While every firm claims to be unique, we believe our track record proves it. Over the course of our firm's history, we've recovered over $500 million in verdicts and settlements for our clients. This includes a broad range of personal injury and wrongful death cases, such as those involving construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries, and much more.

BROOKS V. PACTIV CORP.

Defendant: Attorney for the defendant, PACTIV Corporation and Prairie Packaging Inc. The plaintiff-appellant, James Brooks was seriously injured while working for the defendant-appellees. As a result of the accident the plaintiff lost his left arm up to the elbow. He filed for permanent and total disability as a result of his injuries. His employer kept him on as an employee on an extended leave of absence so he could continue to receive critical medical care. When the company was purchased by PACTIV they discontinued this arrangement and Brooks was terminated. Brooks filed a complaint that was dismissed because Brook's failed to state a claim. He appealed this decision. Upon review of the case the appeals court partially affirmed the judgment and reversed the dismissal of the state-law retalitory-discharge claim. The case was remanded for further proceedings.

NOZAD v GREEN STAR BUILDERS LLC
