William Ken Hawkins (known as Ken) has been practicing in the area of workers' compensation law for more than 25 years. Previously working in workers' compensation defense, he now focuses his practice on service to injured workers.

Based in Ponchatoula, The Law Office of William Ken Hawkins has filled a need in the region for injured workers seeking workers' comp benefits. For more than 15 years, he has primarily served clients from Tangipahoa Parish, St. Tammany and Livingston Parish, including the cities of Ponchatoula, Hammond, Denham Springs, Walker, Covington and Mandeville.

As the only law firm in this parish practicing exclusively in workers' compensation law, the firm helps employees injured on the job in all kinds of workplaces and circumstances. Workers' compensation laws and workers' compensation insurance exist to protect employers from lawsuits and to provide a clear pathway to compensation for injured workers.

All too often, however, injured workers face roadblocks as they seek medical care and indemnity benefits to replace lost wages. Denials, delays, terminated benefits and other complications bring clients to our law firm. We assist with claims and appeals.

The firm also offers mediation services, primarily for employers and insurers.
